Artist’s note: "The word on the foot of the bowl is one of the most important tea ceremony principles. It means " Treasure every meeting, for it will never recur." People who met at that place, there & then, treasure each moment as the opportunity will never come again. It reminds us to respect people, to feel and care for them. Please imagine for a moment what it would mean if we replace "people" with "nature" in the spirit of the tea ceremony."
